Free Engagement Photo Shoot!
Are any of you out there interested in an Engagement Photo Shoot?
Well, how about a FREE Engagement Photo Shoot?!
For the first time ever I am giving away a FREE engagement photoshoot to one lucky couple. The contest will run from today 2/23/10 to Sunday 2/28/10. All you need to do is tell me why you and your fiance deserve it!
The photoshoot includes 2 hours of photography, a CD with all of the high resolution images, editing, and a custom case for the disc.
Here is a list of rules for the contest:
1. You cannot be married yet! This is an engagement shoot and is only open to engaged couples.
2. The contest is only open to NEW clients. Unfortunately, if you have already booked an event with me you are not eligible.
3. You cannot enter on someone elses behalf. The couple entering the contest will be the ones receiving the photoshoot.
4. You must attach a current photo of yourselves with your entry (this is to ensure that the same person doesn't enter more than once).
Please send your entry to josephcasalcontest@gmail.com and include the following info:
1. The subject: "Engagement Photo Shoot Contest"
2. You and your fiance's names.
3. Wedding Date
4. Venue
5. Why you deserve to win the contest
5. Photo
The winner will be announced on the BLOG shortly after I've read through all of the entries.
Good Luck!

Kristina & Scott
Kristina & Scott's wedding was a long time coming for me. I met with them last summer and they booked me pretty much on the spot...Well actually it was after Kristina's got mom gave the approval, which is the case with MOST of my brides. She was very involved throughout the entire process and I'm very thankful for that. She would send me emails keeping me updated with locations, times, and just making sure that everything was perfect.
Luckily for me Kristina & Scott were getting ready at the same location just a few floors from one another. This gave me some time to get shots of both of them getting ready (which I hardly ever get to do) and gave me some time to try out some new ideas. The ceremony and reception both took place at the 94th Aero Squadron. Everything came out perfect. I was really impressed when I walked into the reception area because of how everything was set up. Scott does professional lighting so he actually set them up himself. These were by far the nicest up lights Iv'e ever seen.
In addition to all of the decorations being perfect, everyone in attendance was a pleasure to work with. Kristina was a beautiful and gracious bride and all of her guests were great. I had a great time shooting this wedding and I hope you all enjoy the photos!

Espi & Will's Wedding!
Let me start off by saying that Espi & Will are one of the most fun loving couples that I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They both looked so happy the entire night and really seemed to be enjoying every aspect of their wedding.
The ceremony took place at the Gesu Catholic Church in downtown Miami. This church is actually the oldest one in Miami. It was built in 1896 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. This was my first time shooting there and I think that it may very well be one of the most amazing churches I've ever worked in. Their reception was a blast. Everyone from the older family members to their friends were on the dance floor all night. In between the times that they spent mingling with guests, Espi & Will wouldn't miss the opportunity to hit the dance floor as well.

Fusion Engagement Shoot
Last week we posted our latest project, Chris & Christine's wedding, which was shot using Fusion. This was the combining of High Resolution Photography with HD Video to tell the story of their big day. This week we are back at it again but this time it is in the form of an engagement shoot.
Alissa & Serban won a contest a few months back held by my friend Javier of My Treasure Films. Once I heard the story behind them winning the contest, I immediately told him that I was on board for this project. As if that wasn't enough, Alissa was involved in a pretty serious car accident a few weeks ago and was forced to postpone the shoot. This made me want to be a part of it even more because I wanted to make this really special for her. As you will see, she is fine now and along with Serban is starring in our first ever fusion engagement shoot.
I hope you are all enjoying these new projects of ours. We had a blast making this video!

Chris & Christine's Wedding...and a BIG surprise ending!
It all began about 9 months ago when my wife and I drove up to North Palm Beach to meet Christine and Chris at his parents beautiful home. We liked them from the moment I met them because of how genuinely nice they both were. You could easily tell how excited they were to be getting married and made us feel like we were really going to be an important part of it all. I remember telling my wife after we left that I wanted to do something special for them...but more about that later.
The wedding took place at the same home where we had met just 9 months before. The day started off very cold and with plenty of rain. However, by the time the wedding had begun, it was still pretty cold but the rain had subsided. It turned out to be a perfect day for a wedding. I'm really glad that it turned out this way because it allowed for this event to be as special as it was.
Christine and Chris compliment each other very well. They seem to have that connection that all great couples have. They were also very gracious to me the entire time. I can't remember a wedding where I had been thanked so many times and had been told what a good job I was doing. The father of the bride even mentioned me in his speech! It was an honor to have been part of this wedding and is one that I will not soon forget.
Now back to the part about doing something special for them. Christine and Chris did not hire a videographer for their wedding. When I found out, I immediately called a great friend of mine. Javier, of My Treasure Films, agreed to come and shoot some footage of the wedding for me. We had been wanting to work on a project together for a while now and this was the perfect opportunity. The project is called "fusion". It is when you get HD video and combine it with high resolution photography and create one amazing production. So Christine and Chris, if you are reading this, you have a wedding video! You can view it by clicking on the link below. As always, you can also view the photos from the wedding in this post as well.
I'm very excited about this project and am very proud of these photos.
I hope you all enjoy this!
