Daniela & Mike...Married at the Ancient Monastery!

Let me start off by saying how much I enjoyed shooting this wedding. The venue was amazing, the details were beautiful, the weather was perfect, and Daniela & Mike were two of the best people you could ever work with. Daniela & Mike are from Oakland, CA and have traveled all over the world. Luckily for me, they decided to get married here in South Florida. They got married at the Ancient Spanish Monastery on a cool Miami night. The ceremony was outside in the garden and the reception took place inside the monastery. The entire event had such a great feel to it. You can really tell that they are very much in love and come from a very loving group of family and friends. Let me tell you that they also know how to have a good time. The dance floor was crowded the entire night thanks to a great live band and a great DJ. As a photographer you have to love shooting weddings like these.

Maria & Hans Engagement Shoot

This engagement shoot was a special one for me. One reason is that I used two locations that I had never used before during an engagement session. It's always exciting when you try something new in photography because it really gives you the opportunity to be creative and try different approaches. The second reason is that this particular shoot had been a long time in the making. Maria & Hans both have very busy schedules but really wanted to find a way to make this happen. Luckily for us we got it done and I couldn't be happier with the results. The last reason was that I knew that this was going to be my first blog post for 2010! What better way to start off the new year with some new locations, new ideas, and an amazing couple.

Michelle & Alex's Wedding

Michelle & Alex were a great couple to work with. When I did their engagement photo's a while back I knew that I was going to have a great time shooting their wedding as well. Alex actually graduated from the same high school that I did which gave us some funny things to talk about. Michelle has just been a delight all around. She kept in contact with me throughout the entire process and was very attentive with everything that we were doing. She even reached out to one of her fellow brides and allowed us to shoot some engagement photos at her beautiful hotel on South Beach (Jannette & Jasmany). This was a very intimate wedding and I think that it really emanates through the photos.
